Jolene Lepien-Doan

Jolene Lepien-Doan obtained her Bachelor of Social Work degree (2002) and her Master of Social Work degree (2003) from Wayne State University. Lepien-Doan received her Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor credential from the Michigan Certification Board for Addiction Professionals. She has been a substance abuse therapist with Catholic Charities of Southeast Michigan since January of 2013, and was previously employed by Catholic Social Services of St. Clair County (CSSSC) from October 2010 until January 2013. Her areas of expertise include: conducting individual and group substance abuse treatment; dual diagnosis treatment for individuals with substance abuse and mental health concerns, and relationship counseling. Her work history includes: conducting prevention groups with adolescents and adults (groups such as anger management and drug education). She also was a student assistance counselor at an alternative high school. Treatment philosophy: “To help clients and families gain an understanding of addictive diseases and the tools to prevent relapse. I also believe it is important to help clients successfully address personal obstacles to recovery.”
