Karen L. Boucher obtained her Bachelor of Social Work degree (1995) and her Master of Social Work degree (1996) from Wayne State University. Boucher has been a clinical therapist with Catholic Charities of Southeast Michigan since January of 2013. Previously, she was employed by Catholic Social Services of St. Clair County for two years. Boucher also worked for Catholic Social Services of St. Clair County (CSSSC) from June 1997 to October 2007, providing Clinical Social Work Services at the People’s Clinic for Better Health in Port Huron. Her areas of expertise include: grief and loss, depression, anxiety, adjustment disorders, and working with older adults with Alzheimer’s disease. She has worked as a medical social worker with home care agencies, a bereavement coordinator with Hospice, and a clinical therapist for 10 years.
