Nomination Eligibility Requirements
- Nominee must be Catholic
- Must serve within the geographic region of the Archdiocese of Detroit
- Must support Catholic Charities of Southeast Michigan
- Winners will be selected and notified by Catholic Charities in August 2026
- Honorees will be recognized at the Annual Celebration on Friday, September 25, 2026, at Saint John’s Resort in Plymouth

Individual Award
✦ Leonard R. Jagels Outstanding Individual AwardOutstanding Individual
The Leonard R. Jagels Award honors the memory of former Catholic Services Director Leonard Jagels. It will be presented to one outstanding Catholic committed to charity in Southeast Michigan and the Archdiocese of Detroit. Through the individual’s work, the teachings of the Catholic Church are put into practice for the good of the community.

The Works of Mercy Award honors a Catholic group, school, or organization for its efforts in a successful charitable project. By dedicating themselves to helping those in need, these groups have lived the teachings of Jesus Christ and bettered their community and its members.
