Statement from CEO, Paul Propson RE: Fulton v. Philadelphia (19-123)
CLINTON TOWNSHIP, MI — June 17, 2021
Paul Propson, CEO of Catholic Charities of Southeast Michigan (CCSEM), issued the following statement regarding the Supreme Court decision for Fulton v. City of Philadelphia (19-123).
“Catholic Charities of Southeast Michigan has provided adoption and foster care services for decades. Thousands of children have been successfully reunited with their families or placed in forever homes based on our efforts. It has been, is still, and always will be about the children.
CCSEM, like other religious agencies like it, respects the dignity of all people while making the best decisions possible for the clients we serve as we adhere faithfully to our Catholic beliefs. We look forward to continuing this important work for many years to come.”
