March 19, 2021 RSVP Wayne Volunteer Lunch
Mar 30, 2021
On Friday, March 19, 2021 the newly established Wayne County chapter of the Retired & Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) hosted a special drive-through lunch for their current volunteers. The recognition luncheon was by invite only and was held at the Warren Valley Golf Club and Banquet Center on W. Warren St. in Dearborn Heights. Volunteers were treated to a delectable lunch from The Drunken Rooster food truck, which serves up scrumptious Mediterranean Tacos and Buck & Dinks, a BBQ food truck. Volunteers were able to sit in their cars and listen to live music or pop-in the heated tent, where social distancing, wearing a mask, and all CDC guidelines were followed.  "We had to find a way to say thank you to our amazing volunteers for all of their services," said Pamela Griffin, Catholic Charities of Southeast Michigan RSVP of Wayne County Program Director. Volunteers received swag bags filled with gifts, snacks, gift cards, and a special award. RSVP of Wayne County is always looking for additional volunteers ready to serve those in need.  To learn more contact Pamela Griffin, RSVP Wayne County Program Director at griffinp@ccsem.org or 855-88-2763 ext. 5090
