First Volunteer Generation Training a Huge Success...
Apr 18, 2024

On Saturday, March 16, 2024, the CCSEM La Casa Amiga Prevention Programs held their first volunteer training as part of their Volunteer Generation Fund Grant award project.  The Volunteer Generation Fund (VGF) focuses on investments in volunteer management practices that increase both volunteer recruitment and retention. At a time of social need, when Americans of all ages are looking for ways to give back, we need to be ready to engage all those who answer the call to serve.  As part of this most important award, a training was held at the Pontiac Creative Arts Center where dozens of volunteers met for a presentation and training learning more about Cultural Competence, Communication, Boundaries and Rapport. The training was a huge success and it highlights once again the importance of volunteers in our community!  To learn how you can participate and be part of this initiative, contact Graciela Flores Hernandez at 248-338-4250 ext. 4621 or by email at hernandezg@ccsem.org
