Foster Grandparent Program

Foster Grandparent volunteers are mentors, tutors, and role models serving in various community settings for youth with exceptional needs. In addition to allowing participants to stay active and healthy, the program offers volunteers a non-taxable stipend, mileage reimbursement, meal assistance, and supplemental accident and liability insurance coverage.

The Oakland County program currently has 45 volunteers, and more are needed!

Participants must be age 55 or older, able to serve 20 hours a week, follow program guidelines, and meet limited income guidelines.

For more information call Carol Wall at 248-537-3300, ext. 3919 or email wallc@ccsem.org.

The Foster Grandparent Program is funded by CNCS, the Michigan Aging and Adult Services Agency, and financial support from the community.
